Since childbirth is as unique as each individual who experiences it, we cannot know in advance what each person's journey will include. What we can do is prepare for it by acquiring the knowledge and understanding that will guide our instincts during the process.

Atlanta Family Doulas childbirth classes are a blend of comprehensively presented evidence-based information, interactive thought provoking discussions, demonstrations and hands-on practice for labor.

Attendees leave with the confidence to formulate and articulate their wishes for the birth that they desire while also understanding the nuances that may shift things, slightly, along the way.

Classes

Childbirth Essentials

This 6-hour intensive will teach you everything you need to know from the third trimester, into labor and delivery, through the immediate postpartum period and  the realities of having a newborn in the home.

Comfort Measures

This 2-hour, interactive and hands-on class will help you prepare for birth with coping techniques that will help you navigate the emotional and physical twists and turns that labor and birth bring.

Newborn & Infant Care

This 2-hour interactive class will help prepare you for your first days with a newborn and help  build your confidence in your new role as a parent. From diapers and swaddling to soothing and sleeping, we've got you covered!
